Akhtar Must Play – Wasim Akram

The former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram has said that the 35 year old fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar should play the semi final game against India, because he is more experienced to Wahab Riaz and has got a good record against India as well. As Shoaib Akhtar has already declared his retirement from the international cricket so it could be a memorable match for him. The best thing for Pakistan is that Akhtar has taken 41 wickets in his playing time against India, so he might prove to be a match winning bowler for Pakistan in the big semi final.

On the website of Pakistan cricket team, 82% people voted that Shoaib should play the next game against India, 17% of them suggested that he should not play in these pressure conditions whereas below 2% of voters then did not give any answer.

Another big headache for Pakistan at the moment is to decide between Abdul Rehman and Saeed Ajmal. Both bowlers have performed well in this world cup but Pakistan cannot start with 4 spinners so one of them has to be dropped from the starting lineup.
