Things were looking very positive for Real Madrid before start of the season. However, they have changed dramatically and Madrid are in real danger of falling behind Barcelona in earlier stages of the Primera Liga. They are already two points behind Barcelona and the injury list is increasing as well. Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, Pepe, Gago and Raul Albiol are the major first team injuries at the moment. Moreover, German duo of Sami Khedira and Mesut Ozil are facing difficulties in adapting to Spanish League. However, Mourinho is confident that they will adapt soon and surely they will be able to perform well after adapting to Spanish conditions. Many experts believe that Madrid are short of strikers at their disposal and Mourinho has admitted it. He said

“As coaches we’re always unsatisfied, we always want more and for that reason I’m with those who ask for new signings,”

“Even if each person does it in his own way, some more introverted, others more aggressive.

“At Madrid I wanted another striker, Higuain and Benzema are not enough.

Suddenly the special one  is facing serious criticism by local press after drawing the first game of the season against Real Mallorca but he is confident of getting things right after the international break.

“This is Madrid and you can’t change it. If you can’t live with this pressure it’s best not to accept (the job),”

“At this stage of my career it was the best time for such an experience.

No one has any doubt in the abilities of Joseph Mourinho and surely he will be able to deliver the required results after getting first team players back into the first team. Moreover, Barcelona play maker Andreas Iniesta has also said that Real Madrid will be a greater force under Mourniho this season.

“The reality is that Madrid have gained a great coach,”. “He’s demonstrated his capabilities, his titles speak for themselves. Aside from the coach Madrid’s players will always be competitive.

“It’s a healthy rivalry like last season, Madrid were fighting until the last day to win the league. They have always fought for the league and won many titles as a result. They are our main rivals in order to win the league.”
