Manchester United has been finally beaten by Wolves while Arsenal threw away 4 goal lead against Newcastle. Wigan and Everton secured classic wins and Manchester City kept their title hopes alive.

It started very well for the league leaders Manchester United against Wolves when Nani scored in 3rd minute to give United an early lead. Everyone would have thought that it will be a long night for Wolves but it was not the case as Elokobi scored from the corner to equalize within the first 10 minutes. Both sides cancelled each other out but just before the break, Kevin Doyle scored to give Wolves a half time lead.

United manager changed the things in the start of the second half with a view to turn around the things just like they did against Blackpool but it was not the case as hungry Wolves defended their goal like Lions and despite of a massive 5 minute injury time, they held onto their lead and caused first defeat to United this season.

How many times have you seen a team that throws away a 4 goal lead? Well if you haven’t seen any team then you have missed one of the historic matches played in the game of football today. Newcastle United Vs Arsenal a match which will go down in the history books as the best match which the game of football has ever produced. Arsenal was leading Newcastle United 4-0 at half time. Goals from Theo Walcott, Djourou and a brace from Robin Van Persie sailed Arsenal into a 4 goal lead with less than 25 minutes gone in the first half.

Even Alan Pardew would have told his players to keep score line respectable in the second half but it was totally a different story in the second half as 50th minute sending off of French midfielder Abu Diaby changed the game on its head as Newcastle United scored 4 goals in less than 19 minutes to make a stupendous come back in the history of football. Two penalties from Joey Barton and goals from Best and Tiote clinched a draw for Geordies. If you have missed the action then you can watch all the goals in the highlights section.

Spurs kept their champions league hopes alive as a thunderbolt from Niko Kranjcar in injury time was enough for them to beat Bolton Wanderers.  Stoke City Vs Sunderland was also a pulsating affair as an injury time goal from Robert Huth sinked Sunderland. Everton also produced a stunning performance to beat Blackpool 5-3. Wigan Athletic also edged out a thriller against Blackburn to register a 4-3 win and Manchester City kept their title dreams alive by beating West Brom 3-0. Captain Carlo Tevez scored the first half hat trick to ensure the victory for blues.
