Real Madrid have denied that they have made a bid to sign Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas. The Spanish playmaker who was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona in summer is now reportedly targeted by their arch rivals Real Madrid. Reports coming from Madrid suggest that Real are ready to offer 65 million Euros for classy midfielder.
However, Madrid have been quick to distance themselves from these rumors with their general manager Jorge Valdano has confirmed that the Galacticos have not made a bid nor they have made any approach to sign Fabregas from Arsenal. He said.
“We have never made a bid for Fabregas and we haven’t talked with Arsenal about any deal either.” We have a good working relationship with Arsenal and we don’t want to have any misunderstanding between the two clubs.”
Future of Fabregas still remains in doubt because he has not committed his future with Arsenal and although Barcelona say that the deal for Spanish midfielder is dead but it is almost guaranteed that the Catalan club will make another attempt to land their man who left for Arsenal 7 years ago. Barca had two bids rejected for Fabregas in the summer and due to that they opted to sign Javier Mascherano from Liverpool.
