Damien Comolli has signaled that the signing of youngster Jordan Henderson from Sunderland is just the start of spending spree from Liverpool this summer. Henderson who has one senior English cap for the three lions joined Reds from Sunderland for a reported 20 million Euros. 

After completing the deal for one of the brightest English talents, Comolli has signaled that there are more signings to come in future as well. Liverpool chief insisted that it was important to sign a new player early in the window as it gives enough time for the club to rethink the strategy if something goes wrong.

Moreover, he also insisted that Henderson was a top transfer target for the club and it gives a very good feeling to the whole club that we have signed a fantastic player for our team. It also gives self confidence to board room staff that getting other transfer targets would also be easily especially after getting the first one.
