Three Lions Held

English side can take a massive step towards qualifying for Euro 2012 by registering a win over Switzerland at Wembley on Saturday 4 June 2011. English players are ready to enter into their holiday period after doing their international duty before the 2010/11 season finally finishes in a fitting finale.

Three lions are on top of Group G on goal difference at the moment. However, this qualifying campaign is doing good for English side as they are regaining their honor of playing good football after showing horrible performance in 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

England are short on attacking options as Wayne Rooney is set to miss the match due to suspension whereas Jermain Defoe is suffering from hamstring injury. This means that Darren Bent is almost guaranteed a place in the starting lineup with Peter Crouch and Bobby Zamora other preferred options to partner Bent infront. Michael Carrick misses the clash due to injury which means that Jack Wilshere, Scott Parker and Frank Lampard are likely to start in the heart of midfield for Engalnd.

Switzerland will also look like a new team as veteran strikers Alexander Frei  and Marco Streller have retired from international football.  This means that Swiss team will be relying on young attacking options like Hitzfeld and Emeghara against England.
