England manager Fabio Capello is confident that the young player which ae coming through the ranks for England may well define the three lions as the new Germany team.
Young German team hugely impressed in the 2010 world cup by reaching the semi finals of the world cup where they were eventually beaten by Spain who went on to win the world cup. Germany crushed England 4-1 at the quarter final stage of the competition and Capello witnessed the class of the young German team which outclassed experienced international players like Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and John Terry.
However, Capello is now confident that England are following in the footsteps of their old rivals Germany as players like Jack Wilshere and Andy Carroll have already impressed at the international stage. Both players have hugely progressed in their short careers with Carroll becoming the most expensive British player in history when he signed for Liverpool on the last day of the January transfer window for reportedly more than 30 million Euros. Apart from Carroll and Wilshere, Capello was also impressed by Stewart Downing, Danny Welbeck, Matt Jarvis and Ashley Young who all played a very important in the match.
Talking exclusively to skysports. Capello said
"I hope that people will talk about us like they did about Germany,"
"We have got some young players who are really good for the future.
"These players are improving a lot and playing with confidence."
