Jose wants to manage Roo
by Ahmad on May.30, 2010, under English Premier League, Watchprem blog
JOSE MOURINHO last night risked the wrath of Alex Ferguson by admitting he would love to manage Wayne Rooney.
The Special One expects to finally take charge of Real Madrid next week after the Spanish giants reached a deal with Inter Milan to release him.
Asked which player he would love to manage, Mourinho said: “I’m going to say it because it’s impossible.
“I would love to manage Wayne Rooney, as much for his talent as a player as for his mentality.
“But my friend Sir Alex Ferguson can be calm because it’s impossible.”
Mourinho’s words are certain to upset Fergie as it is well known that Real president Florentino Perez has targeted Manchester United striker Rooney, 24.
Madrid are desperate to snap up the biggest name in English football and Mourinho has clearly sent a very public message.
Old Trafford gaffer Ferguson has already lost Cristiano Ronaldo, who went to the Bernabeu last summer for a world-record £80million fee.
Top Madrid sources have told SunSport that Perez wants Rooney and is preparing a mega-bucks bid as well as a whopping £10m-a-year salary.
Last night, Inter paved the way for Mourinho’s departure after agreeing a deal with Real that will see his £13.5m penalty clause slashed in half.
The compromise was reached at a meeting in Milan between Inter president Massimo Moratti and Real’s big spender Perez.

Blue wins English Premier League
by Ahmad on May.10, 2010, under English Premier League, Watchprem blog
CARLO ANCELOTTI is the new Prem minister of England. His unstoppable Blues crushed the Red opposition as they romped to the title yesterday.
And after hoisting the Premier League trophy aloft, Chelsea skipper John Terry declared: “I’ve been hurting inside for three years seeing Manchester United lift it – and I promise you every one of us has sat there and watched it. It’s their turn to sit there and watch today.”
Chelsea blew their opponents away as they stuck eight past Wigan at a delirious Stamford Bridge.
Didier Drogba notched a hat-trick – taking him to 29 League goals and the Golden Boot.
And it was a net gain all round for the Blues as they finished the season with 103 Prem goals. Nicolas Anelka (2), Frank Lampard, Salomon Kalou and Ashley Cole also struck yesterday.
United, who beat Stoke 4-0, finished a point behind Chelsea.
And Terry means to make sure Alex Ferguson’s side stay second best for years to come.
He said: “This feels magnificent. It’s been three hard years.
“We’ve got it back now and we need to do what United have done and maintain it for a few years. It’s been up and down all year, it’s been really tough.
“We went away to Wigan and got beat, quite comfortably as well, so we knew today’s game would be tough.
“When we went 1-0 up, that was the first time I’ve thought ‘Yeah, that’s ours’.”
Terry also paid tribute to boss Ancelotti who matched Jose Mourinho’s feat by becoming the second foreign coach to win the League at the first attempt.
Terry said: “Carlo has brought great calmness and a great atmosphere.
“He gives us free spirit to go out and play as we want to.”
